Score half-price electricity for the final

The offer builds on our successful World Cup promotion which gave customers an extra 12 hours of half-price electricity during every Scotland and England group-stage match. 

More than 30,000 customers across the UK took advantage of the additional Bonus Hours during the tournament, helping them power match-day gatherings while cutting energy costs.

Now, as Spain and Argentina prepare to battle it out, we are once again helping customers soak up the action by cutting electricity costs by 50% during the Sunday-evening Final.

Whether fans are hosting friends and family, powering TVs and sound systems, keeping food and drinks chilled or lighting up their homes for the occasion, customers can focus on the football rather than the cost with two hours of half-price electricity.

The Bonus Hours come in addition to our existing Power Saver scheme, which already allows customers to choose eight hours of cheaper electricity every week at a time that suits their lifestyle.

To take advantage of the special Power Saver World Cup Final event, you need to be a ScottishPower electricity customer with a communicating smart meter and consent to half-hourly readings being automatically shared.

Customers should download the SP app and sign up to Power Saver Plus. Then make sure notifications are switched on to receive alerts ahead of the World Cup Final kicking off to opt in for their two hours of half-price electricity.

Usage savings will appear as ‘Power Saver Credit’ on a customer’s bill or statement in line with normal billing process. Daily standing charge will be charged at normal rates. Eligibility criteria, exclusions, and T&Cs apply.
