With 20% of the working-age population classed as disabled, recognising capability is critical to building an inclusive environment that empowers everyone. Drawing on its members lived experience, the network contributes to policy changes and raises the profile of disability across the organisation, ensuring everyone can realise their full potential as part of ScottishPower’s workforce.

"As someone who doesn’t live with a long term health condition I’m grateful for the insights of those who do. The more I’ve learned from my colleagues the more statements like “once you’ve met one person with autism, you’ve met one person with autism” make sense. My role at ScottishPower is focused on diversity as well as employment policy and SPARC helps us identify areas of opportunity that can remove barriers to individuals delivering to their full potential."

"As someone living with MS, I had to make a lot of adjustments to my life which would be impossible without help from ScottishPower. SPARC has given me a platform to help build on ScottishPower's Inclusive environment by making sure it's somewhere that individuals with any kind of disability have the same rights and opportunities."
"SPARC allows me to use my lived experiences, along with the others in the network, to raise awareness and reduce negative stigmas."
