Douglas Smith
Corporate Services Director
Douglas Smith was appointed Corporate Services Director in January 2025. He leads strategic planning and delivery across ScottishPower’s General Services (Property, Facilities Management and Fleet), Corporate Security (Physical Security, Operational Resilience, Data Protection and CyberSecurity) and Digital Technology, including IT and Artificial Intelligence, teams.
Douglas joined ScottishPower in 2018 and has held various senior IT roles, most recently as Digital Transformation Director. Previously, he worked for a number of blue-chip organisations in the UK and internationally including Heineken, PwC and Motorola.
He holds a degree in economics and marketing and has completed leadership programmes with Cranfield CIO, the Energising Leadership Programme (ESADE) and INSEAD.
