The programme combines on-site technical skills training and academic study at a local college in either Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Ellesmere Port. The programme runs from August/September – June. Students work towards nationally recognised qualifications.

Whilst it’s not a permanent role, pre-apprentices receive a monthly allowance as a contribution towards travel expenses.

Applicants should be highly motivated to learn and have an interest in electrical engineering.

In addition:

  • In Scotland – Two National 5s or equivalent in Maths, English and/or a STEM related subject (we will also consider National 4 awards or equivalent).

  • In England & Wales – Two GCSE’s at Grade A–C / 4-9 from Maths, English and/or a STEM related subject.
