We were the first integrated energy utility in the UK to generate 100% electricity from renewable sources. Our focus is on delivering the biggest rewiring Britain has seen since electrification and we are playing a leading role in the delivery of a clean, low-carbon system for the UK - currently investing £18 million every working day between 2024 and 2028 to help create a better future, quicker.

As an integrated energy company with three core businesses operating across the electricity system, we have a unique perspective on what the UK needs to accelerate the transition to cleaner electricity, strengthen energy security and support customers on the journey to a greener future.
ScottishPower Renewables
We operate onshore and offshore windfarms, solar farms and energy storage projects the length and breadth of the country, generating more than 3GW of renewable energy - enough to power around 3 million homes. Only generating 100% renewable electricity, ScottishPower Renewables is helping to increase Britain’s supply of homegrown clean electricity and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
SP Energy Networks
SP Energy Networks owns four regulated electricity network businesses in the UK and keeps electricity flowing to around 12 million people across a network spanning more than 170,000 kilometres – from Stirling in central Scotland to Stockport in the north-west of England.
By investing in critical energy infrastructure, it is increasing capacity, resilience and flexibility so more renewable electricity and low-carbon technologies can connect to the grid as demand for electricity increases.
Customer Business
Our Customer Business supplies energy to homes and businesses across the UK and is helping customers take greater control of their energy use. Through smarter services and low-carbon solutions, including smart meters, electric vehicle charging, solar and heating technologies, it is helping customers make the change to greener living and a better future.
ScottishPower operates in the United Kingdom through the following business companies: Scottish Power Generation Holdings Ltd (SPGHL), Scottish Power Energy Networks Holdings Ltd (SPENHL) and ScottishPower Renewable Energy Ltd (SPREL); and accordingly, together with the Board of Directors of Scottish Power Limited, which has principal responsibility for the formulation and implementation of ScottishPower Strategy. These head of business subholding companies have their own boards of directors who hold decision-making responsibility for operational business management, ensuring appropriate business separation safeguards are observed.
