RES: New Bellshill base boosts renewable energy support

Location: Belshill, Central Scotland
Global renewables firm RES, opened a new logistics hub in Bellshill creating scores of jobs for the Lanarkshire town.

Following the award of a £100m+ five-year ScottishPower contract to service, operate and maintain 15 of its onshore wind farms, the company invested in the new site, with 32 direct jobs, including 16 technicians, taking RES' total headcount on the contract to close to 100.  

The hub acts as the operational base providing logistics support, component refurbishment and specialist technical resource across the portfolio.
