Programme Overview

As a Project Management Graduate in SP Energy Networks, you'll have the chance to work on a range of exciting projects. We're all about cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices, so you'll get stuck right in developing national infrastructure projects that align with our environmental goals. 

Throughout your journey, you’ll be supported every step of the way, gaining the practical experience and professional development needed to thrive in the energy sector.

Minimum Criteria

Honours Degree (or equivalent) at a minimum of 2:2 in Project Management / Business with Project Management or any related Project Management degree, or similar. 

A full UK driving licence is required for this role. If you are currently unable to obtain one, we’re happy to explore alternative arrangements to support you. Please note that a full UK driving licence must be in place by September 2026.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting in managing multiple tasks, set priorities, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, all while embracing the latest technological advancements and industry best practices
  • Monitor project progress and escalate risks or issues as needed.
  • Support the planning, execution, and delivery of network data projects across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, engineers, and IT specialists.
  • Assist in developing project documentation, timelines, and reporting tools.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and agile ways of working.

You’ll be based in one of our operational regions in Scotland— Glasgow, Blantyre, Cambuslang or Edinburgh - with a mix of time spent in the office and out on-site. This blend gives you the chance to see how our network works in the real world, connect with different teams, and gain hands-on experience that goes beyond the desk.
