Network Plus, based in Worsley, Greater Manchester, is a long-standing partner helping to build, maintain and strengthen the electricity network right across the North West and North Wales.
With around £370m of contracts awarded over the last five years, its business – and importantly, its people – have been boosted by our energy transition investment.
Today, more than 350 Network Plus employees support SP Electricity North West contracts, delivering underground cabling, overhead line and vegetation management services, from Cumbria to Stockport. A further 200+ employees work across SP Energy Networks contracts in the Manweb area straddling Liverpool, Cheshire and North Wales.
It now employs more than 120 apprentices and graduates and has partnered with SP Energy Networks and Coleg Llandrillo-Menai to train a new generation of specialist overhead linespeople – creating local opportunities for local people.

The partnership is also supporting investment in technology. Network Plus is deploying live-dig radar technology across more than 200 excavators, helping teams detect underground assets and reduce the risk of utility strikes.
