The energy landscape is changing rapidly as the way our customers and communities generate, consume, and interact with energy evolves. Our role is to decarbonise our network through technology and innovation and to facilitate the UK's journey to Net Zero through electrification.
Our Transmission network transports large volumes of electricity over long distances from generators, including renewable energy sources such as offshore and onshore wind farms, to the wider electricity system. Transmission infrastructure includes substations, overhead line routes and major network assets that are essential for achieving the UK's Net Zero goals.
Our Distribution network delivers electricity directly to homes, businesses, and local communities. As demand for electric vehicles, heat pumps and low-carbon technologies continues to grow, our Distribution teams are modernising and expanding the network to ensure it remains reliable, resilient and ready for the future.
Our Transmission and Distribution teams are investing in major infrastructure projects that will help deliver a cleaner energy future for generations to come.
