Employees celebrate Glasgow’s Pride 2026

22/07/2026

More than 130 of our colleagues, friends and allies took to the streets of Glasgow on Saturday to celebrate Glasgow’s Pride, demonstrating the company's ongoing commitment to inclusion, diversity and belonging.

They joined the thousands of people who gathered in Scotland’s largest city on Saturday to take part in its annual Pride event – marking 30 years to the day since the first march took place in the city.

The ScottishPower Pride delegation was led by representatives of In-Fuse, the company’s employee network for our LGBTQ+ employees and allies.

Together we celebrated the progress that has been made while recognising the importance of continued visibility and allyship.

The world leading ScottishPower Pipe Band kicked off our march, drawing cheers from onlookers as the group moved off from Glasgow Green, playing along the banks of the iconic River Clyde, followed by our colourful Pride EV.

This year’s march was again supported by members of our senior leadership team including Charlie Jordan, CEO, ScottishPower Renewables and Andrew Ward CEO ScottishPower Customer Business, reaffirming that the commitment to inclusion and allyship is a key part of our company culture.

Charlie Jordan, Chief Executive of ScottishPower Renewables, said: “It’s important that everyone can come and feel comfortable working for us, know that they can be their authentic selves. Ultimately, our people are what makes our company succeed and it’s important that we can come to Pride together and showcase the support we have for each other.”

Stephanie Todd, Chair of our In-Fuse employee network, added: “Pride will always be about visibility, progress and protest, but it's also about people supporting people and creating workplaces where everyone feels safe to be themselves. I'm proud of our In-Fuse network, proud of the colleagues who celebrate and support alongside us, and proud to work for an organisation that embraces diversity and recognises the value it brings every single day."
