Connected Women network award hat-trick

29/09/2026

Our Connected Women employee network was named Outstanding Women’s Network 2026 at the prestigious Employee Network Awards, held in London last week.

The awards recognise networks that are making a real difference to workplace inclusion and culture, influencing positive change and improving the employee experience.

The recognition followed double success a week earlier at the Menopause & Menstruation Friendly Employer Awards, where we were named Menopause Friendly Employer of the Year and Commercial Director and former Connected Women chair Helen Gaier-Laidlaw received the Carolyn Lazarus Award for Outstanding Individual Contribution.

Connected Women has played a leading role in helping shape a more inclusive workplace culture at ScottishPower. The network has helped deliver tangible improvements in colleague support, including enhanced conversations and education around menopause and progress on family-friendly policies including paternity leave.

Connected Women Chair, Victoria Hobson said: “It’s fantastic to receive external recognition for all the work that goes into Connected Women, but these awards really belong to our whole community. We simply wouldn’t be here without the support, involvement and enthusiasm of our amazing members, everyone who attends our events, gets involved in our initiatives, shares ideas and helps us keep moving the network forward.”

Our In-Fuse employee network was also shortlisted as a finalist in the Employee Network Awards ‘Best LGBTQ+ Employee Network’ category.
