British Diversity Awards Highly Commended Recognition

27/03/2026

We have been ‘highly commended’ at the prestigious British Diversity Awards, recognising our ongoing commitment to building an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.

The accolade, in the ‘Company of the Year’ category, highlights our continued efforts to champion diversity, equality and inclusion across all areas of the business.

Our Connected Women employee network was also highly commended in the Outstanding Women’s Network category for its long-standing work to promote gender equality.

The British Diversity Awards are one of the UK’s most respected recognition events for organisations and individuals championing diversity, inclusion and equality.

The event recognises the individuals and organisations breaking down barriers, embracing difference and creating a stronger, more inclusive future for everyone.

Keith Anderson, ScottishPower Chief Executive, said:

“In our company we often talk about power – powering homes, powering businesses, powering the economy. But the real power is the people that work in our business day in, day out. People from different backgrounds, perspectives, life experience - all coming together to solve complex challenges and drive real and lasting change. Our people are our business.

“I’m delighted our teams have been recognised by the judges at the British Diversity Awards. It really is testament to the hard work of all of our employees, and our employee networks, who represent our diverse groups right across the company.

‘ScottishPower is delivering a cleaner, greener energy system for Britain’s future – but that future must be inclusive by design. And a fair energy transition depends on fairness and equality within our organisations too.”

Two of our other employee networks were also shortlisted and represented at the event. In-Fuse were shortlisted in the “Outstanding LGBTQIA Network of the Year” category, along with Sparc who were shortlisted in the “Outstanding Ability Network of the Year” category.
