ScottishPower is energising women’s football through partnerships with Scottish Women’s Football and Scottish Women’s Premier League.
Our exclusive Principal Partnership with Scottish Women’s Football (SWF) and the Scottish Women’s Premier League (SWPL) has been renewed for a further three years, building on a collaboration that has helped drive the growth of the women’s game across Scotland.
Launched in 2023 as the biggest single investment in Scottish women’s football, the partnership was created to energise the game at every age and stage, from grassroots participation through to the professional level. Since then, we have worked closely with SWF and the SWPL to increase the visibility of the women’s game, create new opportunities for players and inspire the next generation of talent.
The renewal was marked with a spectacular projection event at Edinburgh Castle, where players, coaches and families gathered to celebrate the progress made over the past three years and look ahead to the future. Featuring the journeys of young players developing through the game alongside established stars, the projection showcased what is possible through sustained investment and support.
As part of the renewed partnership, we will continue as Principal Partner of both SWF and the SWPL, while extending our support for key competitions across the women’s and girls’ game. This includes sponsorship of the Scottish Youth Challenge Cups across all three age groups, SWF’s National and Regional League Cups, and the Scottish Women’s Highlands and Islands League and Cup.
Together, ScottishPower, SWF and the SWPL remain committed to powering the future of women’s football and building on the momentum transforming the game across Scotland.
