“After completely my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, I knew I wanted to further my education and obtain a master’s degree with a focus on sustainability. With the support of the ScottishPower Masters Scholarship Programme, in November 2023 I graduated from the University of Liverpool with an MSc in Sustainable Civil and Structural Engineering.

The scholarship paired me with an industrial mentor who provided me with invaluable professional and academic support throughout my degree. My mentor was brilliant at giving me real world examples of projects she was working on, enabling me to understand how the theoretical knowledge I was gaining at university fits into industry practices.

After completely the scholarship programme, I was offered a position on the ScottishPower Graduate Programme working within SP Energy Networks. I am thoroughly enjoying learning more about the business and making professional relationships within the industry. I’m excited to see where my career with ScottishPower will lead me!”

“The Iberdrola Masters scholarship is an amazing experience for anyone looking to study towards a master’s level qualification.

The programme offered me great financial support during my MEng year at university and the opportunity to fly to Spain to be awarded my scholarship from Felipe VI at a conference in Madrid.

The Masters scholarship also paired me with a mentor at ScottishPower who gave me guidance in both my final year of studies, getting started on the graduate scheme and still works with me on my professional development to this day.

I am now over 4 months into the graduate scheme and the connections with my fellow scholars and opportunities from the scholarship have aided me immensely in my journey at ScottishPower. Don’t hesitate to sign up for this great opportunity!”

“Firstly, I’m grateful to ScottishPower for enabling my pursuit of a MSc in Data Analytics at the University of Sheffield.

It has always been my interest to complete my postgraduate studies in the field of data since I completed a bachelor’s in mathematics and economics with first class honours from the University of London.

The exposure to how mathematics fuels the growth in analysing data effectively has motivated me to follow a career in data analytics. The programme not only deepened my understanding of the concepts underpinning the field but also relieved significant financial burdens.

After successfully completing a MSc with distinction, I was offered a role as a graduate data scientist within the data and insights team of the marketing department.”

Application Period for 2024/2025
