The ScottishPower Foundation, in partnership with its Spanish equivalent Fundacion IBERDROLA, has today announced 17 new post-graduate scholarship grants for the 2014/15 academic year.
The scholarships aim to contribute to the education of young professionals with the capabilities required to lead the energy industry into the future. Applications for the forthcoming academic year open on Monday 3 February and close on Thursday 3 April.
The partnership between the two organisations will invest over £1.65m in research and education programmes between the UK and Spain with scholarships seeking to promote excellence in education in the area of energy. Special emphasis is given to the development of renewable energy sources, the enhancement of biodiversity and improving the efficiency of the energy system.
