Armed Forced Covenant
ScottishPower have taken a significant step in showing their continued support and commitment to the Armed Forces, by updating their pledges and re-signing the Armed Forces Covenant. It is a pledge that acknowledges and understands that those who serve or who have served in the armed forces, and their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy and society they serve.
Business Disability Forum (BDF)
Business Disability Forum is a not-for-profit member organisation whose purpose is to build disability-smart organisations to improve business performance by increasing confidence, accessibility, productivity and profitability. Members employ up to 20% of the UK workforce.
Business Disability Forum provides pragmatic support by sharing expertise, giving advice, providing training and facilitating networking opportunities. This helps organisations become fully accessible to disabled customers and employees.
Carer Positive is a Scottish Government funded initiative which aims to help ‘make life better for carers’ by recognising employers in Scotland who support employees who are carers.
Disability Confident Employer
ScottishPower are accredited as a Disability Confident Employer, which is awarded by the Department of Work and Pensions to employers who have made commitments to employ, keep and develop the abilities of disabled staff.

Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme
ScottishPower are members of Stonewall Diversity Champions Programme. Stonewall works for acceptance without exception for lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. They work with organisations in the public, private, voluntary and third sector to help ensure they offer inclusive working environments.
Tommy's Pregnancy Accreditation Programme
Tommy's Pregnancy at work has been designed to arm organisations with the tools they need to provide the best level of support for pregnant employees and their managers. The scheme also provides a wealth of information, including how to best manage time and productivity, and how to ensure a smooth return to work after pregnancy.
Womens Engineering Society (WES)
The Women's Engineering Society is a charity and a professional network of women engineers, scientists and technologists offering inspiration, support and professional development.
