ScottishPower can confirm it was not involved in any of the gas trades which the Company understand are under investigation following recent allegations. No day ahead gas trades were executed by ScottishPower on 28th September.

The Company has a small presence in the UK gas wholesale market – accounting for around only 5% market share of total UK gas demand. ScottishPower also has no significant upstream gas assets nor does it have any significant presence in the UK Gas Industrial and Commercial (I&C) market which account for a sizeable share of the gas wholesale market.
