ScottishPower and Iberdrola Launch Connect - Allowing Customers to Manage Their Accounts in the UK and Spain

  • The service helps customers manage their energy bills in both the United Kingdom and Spain with a personalized service

  • The campaign launched by the two IBERDROLA Group companies is mainly aimed at over 900,000 Britons with a second residence in Spain

IBERDROLA Group has launched Connect, a service that allows customers to manage gas and energy products and services they have signed up for in the United Kingdom and Spain.

The service, launched by IBERDROLA and its UK subsidiary ScottishPower, is primarily aimed at more than 900,000 Britons living either temporarily or permanently in Spain, mostly on the Mediterranean coast and in the islands. However, citizens of any nationality who have signed a contract with the Company in the United Kingdom and Spain can also benefit from this service. 

Through this initiative, the first of its kind in the energy sector, customers can manage their energy accounts, access products and services and take advantage of competitive energy deals in both countries. Customers will be helped by English-speaking operators and will be able to send and receive documents in English.

Neil Clitheroe, CEO of ScottishPower Retail and Generation, said:”This is simply about convenience for customers, allowing them to keep on top of their accounts in both countries at the same time. This is the first product of its type to be launched in both the UK and Spain and is mainly aimed at the 900,000 Britons with a second home in Spain.”
