Cat Cubie joins ScottishPower and 6,700 pretty muddy women for Cancer Research UK

Broadcaster Cat Cubie teamed up with courageous cancer survivor Kate Bowman to kick off Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life Pretty Muddy event in Glasgow on Saturday.

Cat joined official energy sponsor ScottishPower at Bellahouston Park where 6,684 women, including an army of over 300 ScottishPower employees, took the plunge to raise money for life-saving research.

Together they sounded an air horn to set off women of all ages, shapes and sizes who took on obstacles including a mud slide and scramble net along the mud-splattered 5k course.

Cat commented: “I’m thrilled to be here supporting the ScottishPower team who are united in their determination to beat cancer sooner.  They are channelling their positive energy into tackling obstacles on the course so that they can raise money to help Cancer Research UK bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.”
