ScottishPower was proud to support Glasgow’s annual Pride march on Saturday and over 100 employees from our LGBT+ network In-Fuse were there to celebrate with colleagues, family and friends.
Supported by senior leaders including Charlie Jordan, CEO of ScottishPower Renewables, Charles Langan, Chief Financial Officer of ScottishPower and Sarah McNulty, UK People Director, it was a record turnout for the organisation.
A 30-strong delegation from the world-championship contending ScottishPower Pipe Band saw the group on their way as part of the 50,000-strong annual parade.
The city was awash in rainbow colours, flags, banners and music as the vibrant march travelled from Festival Park to Glasgow Green.
Stephanie Todd, who chairs our In-Fuse employee network, said: “What a fantastic day, and turnout from our employees – our biggest Pride march yet. It's been great to see the support for In-Fuse and our LGBT+ community loud and proud from across the business too.
“While Pride is always a fabulous celebration of the LGBT+ community, our all-important allies and the progress made towards equality, it's also a reminder of what we are still campaigning for – acceptance, equality, fairness and friendship – regardless of who you are, or who you love.”
