ScottishPower will donate £150,000 to 30 charities across Scotland and the wider UK this Christmas, reinforcing its commitment to supporting communities through the winter. 

The latest contribution brings the company’s total festive giving to £900,000 since 2020, benefiting a total of 138 charities nationwide.

This year’s donation focuses on five key areas where support will prove invaluable: health, homelessness, domestic violence, older people and children and the young. Each of this year’s 30 selected charities have received £5,000 to help continue their vital work over the festive period.

Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity is one of the recipients.  It supports the children’s hospital in Glasgow by funding enhanced medical equipment, family support services, and play programmes to ensure the best possible care and experience for young patients and their families.

“We are incredibly grateful to ScottishPower for their kind donation of £5,000. Their generosity will help us to continue to provide vital services for young children and families who visit our hospital from across Scotland.

“The festive season can be particularly difficult for children in hospital, but thanks to the generosity of donors like ScottishPower, we can ensure that they can still experience the magic of Christmas through our play programme and special visits. The charities were chosen by ScottishPower’s Social Projects team, in partnership with third-sector organisations, alongside valuable input from its staff and employee networks.
