On 21st April 2008, the Iberdrola Group presented their Quarter 1 Results for 2008 at a meeting in Madrid.

Chairman Ignacio Galan during his results press conference said ‘We are a robust resized company, deeply committed to sustainability – a fact that is recognised by our shareholders’ Speaking on the integration with ScottishPower, the Chairman described it as ‘an exemplary transaction’. He praised the friendly nature of the merger and recognised the significant support received from ScottishPower people throughout.
