ScottishPower welcomes the positive comments from the Utah League of Cities and Towns in connection with its proposed merger with PacifiCorp. It also notes the comment from Sen. Mansell that the bill he had introduced, which would require full legislative review of any utility merger, is no longer scheduled for committee hearing.

Commenting on the announcement Ian Russell Deputy Chief Executive and Finance Director said, "We welcome this positive development in the transaction approval process and appreciate the work of Sen. Mansell."
