ScottishPower Sponsors Dutch National Ballet At Edinburgh International Festival

ScottishPower is delighted again to support the internationally acclaimed Dutch National Ballet and the successful Dance Summer School at this year's Edinburgh International Festival. It is the second year that the company has supported Dutch National Ballet at the Festival and the fifth year that is has sponsored the Dance School programme.

Dutch National Ballet will perform a masterwork by the American choreographer, William Forsythe, called Artifact. It can be seen at the Edinburgh Festival Theatre between Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th of August.

Sue Clark, ScottishPower's Director of Corporate Affairs, said: "Following last year's highly successful performance by Dutch National Ballet, we are delighted to again sponsor their Festival performance and to continue with our support for the popular Summer Dance School. Each year it has attracted over 100 dance enthusiasts, aged between 8 and 18. I am sure that young dancers will particularly enjoy having the opportunity to work with the exciting and innovative Dutch National Ballet."

This sponsorship represents only part of ScottishPower's continuing investment within the community, which includes work with the arts, education and the environment. The Company has for many years also supported the RSNO, Scottish Opera and a wide range of local community programmes. It also recently sponsored the 20th Century Gallery, part of the new Museum of Scotland.
