ScottishPower Contracting Wins £10 Million Worth of Contracts

ScottishPower's Contracting Division has won around £10m worth of contracts over the past week with a number of key customers throughout the UK. They include SAPPI's Mill in Blackburn, a West of Scotland Water waste disposal site under construction at Daldowie, Glasgow and with Southern Water, ScottishPower's subsidiary in the south east of England.

The contracts include the design and build of electrical, mechanical and instrumentation installations on a number of engineering projects.

Contracting Managing Director, Mike Staley said: "I am delighted to have achieved such a high success rate culminating in the same week, reflecting several months of discussions and negotiations with our respective clients. Our order book is now in excess of £60m for the next year along with further long term work secured to the year 2004".
