ScottishPower today announced that Charles Berry, Chief Executive of its Manweb subsidiary, and Bill Landels, Managing Director of Energy Supply, are to change positions.

Charles Berry becomes Managing Director, Energy Supply, for the group. Charles will continue as a member of the Manweb and Southern Water Boards.

Bill Landels will take over at Manweb. Bill has been a member of the Manweb Board since 1996. Bill will also continue to represent the Company on the 1998 industry groups to ensure that the platform is there to roll out competition in the electricity supply industry.

Charles Berry and Bill Landels, who will both report to Duncan Whyte, Executive Director Multi Utility, will continue to be members of the Chief Executive's Committee of the ScottishPower group and will work closely together to ensure the continued success of ScottishPower and Manweb.

"Bill brings a wealth of experience from his time in the Company as Managing Director of Distribution and Supply and Energy Supply. He has been the architect of many of our leading benchmark practices, particularly in the area of Customer Service and in the development of the infrastructure for the 1998 market deregulation."
