ScottishPower Announces Senior Management Changes

ScottishPower announced today that Alan Richardson, Chairman of its US businesses PacifiCorp and PacifiCorp Power Marketing Inc. and Executive Director of ScottishPower US Division will leave the company on 31 December 2001. Judi Johansen, recently appointed President and CEO of PacifiCorp and Terry Hudgens, recently appointed President and CEO of PacifiCorp Power Marketing, will join the Executive Team of ScottishPower with immediate effect, reporting directly to Ian Russell, ScottishPower's Chief Executive.

PacifiCorp Granted $40.5 Million Revenue Increase in Utah
11 September 2001
ScottishPower announces that on 10 September 2001 the Utah Public Service Commission (PSC) granted its US subsidiary, PacifiCorp, a $40.5 million revenue increase. This decision sets new revenues about 5.1% higher than previous base levels. The award is $29.5 million lower than the annual $70 million interim revenue award made in February 2001. As a result PacifiCorp is required to refund approximately $22 million of revenue collected from February to October when the PSC will address tariffs for each customer class. Based on the outcome of this order, PacifiCorp is reviewing options for reconsideration and appeal.

Trading Update on PacifiCorp Operations

PacifiCorp's contribution to ScottishPower's earnings for the year to March 2002 will reduce by approximately nine pence per share.

PacifiCorp Files for Recovery of Hunter Related Costs

ScottishPower announces that its US subsidiary PacifiCorp filed on 23 August 2001 with the Utah Public Service Commission (PSC) to recover $104 million related to purchased power and other impacts arising from losing Hunter unit 1 from PacifiCorp's generation portfolio. On 9 February 2001, the Utah PSC authorized PacifiCorp to defer costs related to the Hunter outage. The 430 MW unit was returned to service in early May 2001.

ScottishPower 484 MW Klammath Cogeneration Plant Starts Generating

ScottishPower announces that its non-regulated US Subsidiary PacifiCorp Power Marketing, Inc. (PPM) began full commercial operations of the 484-MW Klamath Cogeneration Plant on 29 July. It is one of the few major new power plants to be built in the Pacific Northwest in recent years.
