ScottishPower's US regulated business, PacifiCorp, and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company today filed testimony with the regulatory commissions in the six states served by PacifiCorp as part of the scheduled process to gain approval of MidAmerican's acquisition of PacifiCorp from ScottishPower as announced on 24 May.

The acquisition is subject to ScottishPower shareholder approval, as well as approval from the six state regulators and also from various US federal agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, among other federal filing requirements.
