The role of the Audit Committee encompasses oversight of internal control, financial reporting, audit and litigation and claims. The role of the Committee is described more fully in the Corporate Governance Statement and in its Terms of Reference.
When ScottishPower was delisted from the London Stock Exchange on 19th April 2007, the members of the Committee, the majority of whom were independent non-executive directors, were:
